Prime Real Estate: at home on the Web

Schererville, IN – Broker Maggie Lybolt and her Prime Real Estate staff continue to make themselves home at their location at Cline Avenue and U.S. 30 in Schererville – and on the Web. Striving to be online leaders, Lybolt said they focus on selling homes quicker through the use of technology and their Web site, www.WeSellNwi.com.

“We are not only in the Indiana and Illinois MLSs, we are also on the top 77 real estate Web sites nationwide,” Lybolt said. “We attract buyers from all over the country looking to relocate to this area.”

Transitioning from Merrillville to the Schererville location has allowed Lybolt to provide larger facilities for her agents. For the change, Lybolt found help from advisors at the Northwest Indiana Small Business Development Center, which offers free assistance for entrepreneurs starting or expanding their businesses.

“In Merrillville we were a small company, (the NWI SBDC) allowed us to grow and branch out,” Lybolt said. “They consulted us on where we need help, where we should focus and they continue to help us grow.”

Lybolt and her team do both Indiana and Illinois sales, concentrating on residential, commercial and industrial properties. A satellite office in Chicago provides another base for the staff to better work with clients and bridges the two areas.

“Because of the tax situation, we are getting a lot of commuters who are relocating,” Lybolt said.

With a marketing background herself, Lybolt feels it is important for the agents on her team to have college degrees and her staff is fluent in several languages. Clients range from first-time homebuyers to those looking to start a business.

“We consider ourselves Realtors and consultants,” Lybolt said. “For first-time homebuyers, we alleviate a lot of the stress for both sides of the party.”

Lybolt knows the value of a consultant – in her role as one and as she receives guidance from NWI SBDC advisors.

“The impact of the SBDC is very important, especially with small business owners, (the advisors) help with the whole role of business, what to look for and what your goals should be. They are good to have as free consultants. You can’t find that anywhere.”
